Meet Kristin

Host of QRKY: The Misfits Behind the Magic

I’ve always had a soft spot for the oddballs, the outsiders, and the originals. Maybe that’s because I’ve always been one myself.

I was born in New Jersey and transplanted to Southern California as a kid… fair-skinned, freckle-faced, red-headed, and armed with a full-blown Jersey accent.

Translation: I wasn’t blending in anytime soon. But not fitting in became my superpower.

After floundering through my 20s, I found my footing with an entry-level job at a radio station. I dove headfirst into marketing, advertising, and sales, eventually earning awards at big media companies like CBS and NBC. In my 40s, I launched my own business, SpeakServeGrow, helping entrepreneurs grow their visibility and revenue through live events and speaking.

In 2021, life threw me a curveball: breast cancer. During chemo, I found comfort in comedy podcasts. One in particular, Take Your Shoes Off, hit differently. It was quirky, funny, and deeply human. The host shared his late autism diagnosis, and suddenly, puzzle pieces in my own life started clicking into place.

That podcast opened the door to learning about ADHD, autism, and neurodiversity… first for myself, and then for my family. My husband and son are both on the spectrum, and understanding that has helped us rewrite our story with more compassion, clarity, and connection.

QRKY was born out of all of that.

It’s where my love for offbeat brilliance meets my obsession with underdog success stories. I find deep joy in talking with people who see the world differently… comedians, entrepreneurs, artists, thinkers—people who can’t help but walk to the beat of their own drum, even when the world tries to hand them a metronome.

This show is for the misfits behind the magic— The ones who live life differently, bravely, and brilliantly.
